Council PA Systems • Council’s public address systems comprise of both a permanent & portable system. • Both systems are managed & operated by Council’s nominated contractor. • Hiring fee covers the nominated contractor to operate PA system(s) including bump in & bump out. • Hiring fee is $75 per hour excluding gst (Not for profit groups do not incur a hiring fee). • An invoice will be raised by Council after the event (If in kind funding is not being used or available). Permanent PA – Median Strip High Street Permanent PA system is fixed along High Street median strip between Highett and the 2 way turn through on High St (opp IGA). The permanent speakers can be isolated to one section along the median strip if your event is being held in a targeted area (like a presentation/ demonstration). This system comes with one handheld (cordless) microphone with good coverage and a facility to plug in an Ipod / MP3 player or laptop for event playlist Portable PA System Portable PA system consists of 4 speakers which covers an audience between 100 people per speaker (coverage area is totally dependent on conditions at the site) and one handheld microphone. Pls note: You will need to allow for bump in & bump out time (in addition to) to hiring hours above. Total hiring fee will be advised once nominated contractor has finalized your event PA requirements. Depending on your events PA requirements, there may be a need to hire additional equipment. Council’s nominated contractor will advise you accordingly and any additional charges for hiring extra equipment will be invoiced by the nominated contractor directly to you (the event).
